Thanks Paul for the eulogy! It was a great tribute. I lost my best friend and street rodding buddy. Lots of good memories and good times. He was like the brother I never had.I always looked up to Bob because he was a great guy, and would do anything for you.RIP Bob.

uhg....sorry brother. I just had to do this with my pal and neighbor Tim Murphy this week. His son had his Mustang drag car taken to the funeral home and grave site as well. I think it's fitting on occassions such as these. It's important to remember the good things as you wouldn't grieve if you didn't have something worth missing.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. I will be attending the the Memorial for a hot rod friend of mine on Friday. Maybe they are all gathering in Heaven for a big car show.

Sorry for the loss of your great friend and mentor. The service seemed special as that awkward time can be. God bless.

Sorry to hear about your friend Paul, I didn't know him very well. Knew his son Steve through my brother. Steve had a kick ass 68 original Z in highschool, that Bob got for him. He was the cool head in school with that car.

Im sorry for your loss :( I know how it is to lose a good close friend you consider real family.

  11. Thoughts go out to you guys and his family. But, he left an inpression that we can see from this fad called the interweb. Must have been a hell of a guy!

  12. Nice tribute to a lost friend! I hope my buddies do the same for me. Alzheimer's sucks, took my dad years before death took him.

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, but my hat is off to you and your buddies for sending him off in style. Somewhere, I'll bet he's smiling down on you.

Alzheimers is a miserable way for a life to end, for both the victim and family and friends. I have a family member who has entered the most difficult stage of the disease.

They buried Bob right next to Steve. It is nice but sad all at the same time.

It takes all the memories that a victim has and torments the survivors--I feel real bad for anyone who has to deal with this.

    Paul,
So sorry to hear about the passing of your good friend. That disease is just awful. What a wonderful thing you did for him having all the cars there. You know he loved it. Take care.

I am terribly sorry for your loss. We all cross our finish line someday. It was his time unfortenatly. But fortenately he is at rest now.

Bob, may you relish in the eternal hot rod wonderland of the angels. May you enjoy the restoration scene amongst the clouds. As well as remember that life is temporary, but heaven is forever. Hope to meet you and other fellow rodders beyond those heavenly gates when it's time for me to cross my finish line. Until then, god speed.

I could only pray that I have such a wonderful going out party. You guys really made him happy. And for that Bob will always be riding copilot with you. I lost my best friend at the young age of 65. I am 26. like your friend he never acted his age. I miss my best friend so much, so I know how it feels. But I assure you the feeling of loss will slowly go away and turn into a feeling of great remembrence. Whenever I am working on my car I know Jeff (my best friend) is right behind me helping me along. Bob will always be within your heart. We never know how long we have. So make the best of each and every day.

    Thanks,
    Skrach

Nice sendoff for a brother hot rodder, sadly we had to do this back in July, meant a lot to the family to see the hot rods at the service.

What a wonderful tribute to your friend. Must be the week to lose great Hot Rodders. We just lost a family friend to cancer who loved his cars also. Soon we will all be together again.

A very touching tribute . He was probably looking down & smiling , seeing his friends there to remember him (in better times) .
