God take care of you and your family bob. You will be missed. I know that old chevy will have a lot more miles on it from above. Just don't get ice cream on the seats! We miss ya already!

Such a sad day. The only insurance guy I ever liked. My condolences to the family and friends.

Oh and BobK, if you are reading this, I am not sorry I stole your parking spot at the Rust Revival a couple years ago. ;)

The one and only time I met Bob in person - BTT50's 2014. I hollered at him as he drove by - he stopped, I introduced myself, we shook hands and talked and he was gone. He didn't know me from a sack of bananas but jawed like we were old friends. What a guy.
Bob K. has left a huge legacy. Peace and comfort to Bob's family and friends.

For many many many years, whenever we met, Bob and I shared laughs. We crossed paths many a time, and I'm looking forward to seeing him again down the road. Love and prayers to Maggie and the family. John Stimac

It was my distinct pleasure to have known such a great friend as BobK. Celebrate his life as he had a real gift for it, and he will certainly leave a void on this earth. Go with God Bob.

"Jeffy my boy!" Whether it had been a week or a year since I'd seen him, that was the greeting I always got from Bob. I'll miss him.

IMG_5876.JPG Like so many, I considered Bob a friend. He was always smiling and joking around. He did it as so many of wish we could, being the wheel of an old car criss-crossing the country seeing it all. His adventures with Maggie were awesome and we were lucky he shared them with us.

The world lost a legend, friend to many, and a true road warrior. Heaven gained another angel.
God Speed Bob K. Deepest condolences to Maggie and family.

I think at one time Bob told me over 200,000 miles in his old car travels.
You can’t help from admiring Bob’s road trips spirit - one that we ALL can admire.....

Take a look at my signature quote.....

No one can argue that in our lifetime....
Bob Klessig is not only a hero but a Legend..... not by how many miles he traveled, but the lives he touched and shared with us ALL....

I won’t comment anymore because frankly I enjoyed time with Bob but selfishly this hurts.

    Rest In Peace Robert Klessig.

  23. This is the thread I hoped I wouldn't have to open, but was afraid I would.
It was always a good time when Bob was there and he lived his life his way.
    Rest in peace, my friend.

    Here you go Denise.

Godspeed Bob! You’ve been a blessing to my life and clearly in the lives of others. Prayers for Maggie and the family during this time of sadness. I hope the kind words and memories of the countless lives he’s touched bring comfort and encouragement.

RIP BobK. You were, and will continue to be an inspiration to many. For me it was your incredibly well documented road trips on the secondary highways of this world that inspired me to make a couple big trips. Saw you on the salt on several occasions, but too many fans and friends to just barge in and say hi. Travel safe now.

Well it sucks for everyone down here. Right now he is having lunch with some of the other legends that have passed. They are planning his first “Heavenly” Rod or Custom.

God bless and we will see you again.
