They were way ahead of their time. I always wanted one.

Madelaine Petsch, AKA, Cheryl Blossom having one of “her moments.”

    Hello,

The characters in the popular TV series, Riverdale, are a little over the top. The show itself is a combination of old style surroundings, using the old technology, while being in the modern times. They have cell phones and computers, but as a 50’s writer, they use a mechanical typewriter as if the character were in 1950, typing a story for the newspaper.

But in the next incidence, a computer is used for a search for facts. Old hot rods and cruising cars are littered in the driving scenes, but a modern truck or sedan can also be used. It is an adaptation of old "Archie" comic book stories mixed with modern times.

The convertibles used so far are period correct and portray the good times from back then. From Archie’s Phaeton convertible hot rod to the 50s -60s style convertibles, they all fit right into the stylish scenes.

Someone on the Riverdale staff is a hot rod guy/girl and the showcase cars show the effort to be as real as possible in the older scenes. Convertibles are just the right car since everyone of the stars can be seen inside the seating area.

a roadster is not a convertible. a T bucket would not be called a convertible, it's the roll up side window thing.

cool car. wouldn't that be a modified custom feature on a roadster?

  14. It's a Dearborn Deuce. A design that Henry never made.

Sorry this one is OT. Mostly late in the day & night time driving. Sun hates me - Dermatologist loves me & my MEDICARE/TRICARE!

Not cruisin' quite yet...a simple planned "scuff & paint" turns into a "better fix THAT before paint" and before you know it....
Anyway, it's all painted now and going back together.

Here's a rendition of the "planned" finished product that @themoose did for me on the photoshop thread. Untitled36.jpg

They produce that program locally. Not my cup of tea for the weird "time travel" of tech.
