can anybody help me out here? did i in fact buy a '32 ford or something else. the booze i drank told me it was a '32 but i'm having a hard time confirming such in my sobriety. maybe another beer would help? tried it. still not sure. the firewall and the cowl were butchered when they, not me, put it on a courier chassis. thinking dune buggy i guess. no grill either. so easy clues may be gone. any help or funny remarks would be appreciated and or laughed at. until then i'll keep drinking the beers waiting for the clarity or blurryness to help me out. later, corn boy
I really dig the curved shape of the window openings. That's KooL... The rear tractor tires kinda gives it a "monster truck" look too..... -Troy
I'll drink to that as I had the same thought and a person would need to compare the body lines. That curve in the back view photo had me wondering. I'm not an old Ford expert, I'm sure there are one or two Ford guys here somewhere that can give a thought or two... Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy
Judging by the body lines around the windows, sure looks like a Murray Fordor to me. Hope ya didn't pay a Duece price tag for it. Tim D.
doesn't look like the murray fordors that I can find pics of on the web http://images.google.com/images?q=murray+fordor&hl=en&btnG=Search+Images&nojs=1
1.it's not a BBQ on the back. it'd be cooler if it was. 2. i didn't pay '32 price for it. it was like my oly, cheap, cheap, cheap. 3. are murrey and briggs ford bodies? 4. have another beer? don't mind if i do. have yoyrself one too. 7,. yee haa!! visions kind o blurry but looks like ya'll think its a 32 too.i knew i could count on ye old hamber buddies to point me in the rit direction. 13, go find your own '32!! this ones mine! 22., yeah '32 servivor from the 50's, el migage big winer was in all the mags.
Am I missing something? I'm going by a Murray roof I have in my garage, and looking at the details that usually differ on cars. Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. Tim D.
oh...just the details.... look at the curve at the top of the side windows. notice the location of the door handles (under the body line). look at the relative size of the quarter window.
The Dodge pic is indeed close. It may be Plymouth if it was out by then. Most were smaller and more "Ford sized" than their Dodge/DeSoto/Chrysler siblings. It's a good lookin body. Would look real nice in a dark color.
It reminds me of my '29 Murray, but the rear door looks wider. When I first saw an old Dodge at "Midnight at the Oasis" in Yuma, I thought it was a Murray. They are pretty similar. The windshiels pillars in your picture look more like that Dodge photo.
Well, with the interior pics, I'm clueless. Missed the door handle too, was looking more at the top end. Tim D.
Let's just kick back drink sum Beers and shhhmoke sum weed....and call it a '32 three window with no rust on it! Yee-ha!
