I was looking for Plastikote #205, Old Ford Blue, and found one can of old stock. It seems that Lordco, Cdn Tire, NAPA, and everyone else has dropped it. So have they gone under, been bought out?
I tried to use Dlicolour but it didn't match, a tone or two off. And after it was skaken about five minutes attached to my reciprocating saw it was coming out blue then white! and back to blue. The store replaced the original can but it happened on the second can as well. Ive been using rattle cans for about 53 years so don't say I wasn't spraying it properly. Try explaining that one!

If only there were some kind of store, that you access via one of those new-fangled typin' machines.

I usually keep up with the HAMB and other traditional things on my transistor radio....thunderstorms tonight so all I'm getting is static.

So I guess nobody has any real info on my original question. Their "locate a store" function is woefully out of date. However, the humour has been great!

  17. Something has changed with Plastikote distribution in Canada they were huge with everyone for a while and most have gone away from them. What are you looking for? I can check with some of my customers and see if they have anything in stock.

As I stated in my first post I did get the last can of #205 but I'm thinking more of the future. I liked the brand now what? Thanks for the offer though.

  20. You might try White and Peter's their warehouse company use to be the Canadian distributor for Valspar but things may have changed when Sherwin William's bought Valspar You might try the Sherwin Williams in Langley as Sherwin now owns Plastikote (Valspar did) so may know what is going on with distribution in Canada. The problem is Sherwin's automotive division in Canada is so poorly run they may not have a clue either and is probably the reason everyone jumped shop when they bought Valspar.

Now that Sherwin owns them there is very little chance there will be any regular retail distribution like Lordco or Canadian Tire in Canada you will have to try automotive jobber stores.
