So I sold my '32 pickup on ebay a couple of weeks ago and the money was burning a hole in my pocket. JayD and Knuckle had spotted this el camino here in town beside a barn a few weeks back and being at the right place at the right time, JayD bought it and brought it back to his shop. It hadn't been driven in a couple of years but after a new battery and a carb overhaul, she fired right up. Meanwhile, I had a wad of cash in my pocket and JayD was willing to sell this beauty to me for a good price. He buffed it out, cleaned up the interior, new dual exhaust w/ dumps, new brakes and the car was mine! It's got a 327 under the hood and a 3 speed on the column for now. I just purchased a Hurst floor shifter for it and a 3 duece setup that should be the "finishing" touches. We wacked a couple of coils off and added new shocks the other night and I think she's sittin' just right. New wheel viniques chromies and some spider caps from the world famous VAPHEAD here on the board (Thanks man!). Diamondback was given the call for some radial wide whites with a little tire rake-the perfect combo if you ask me. Anyway, here she is, should be a comfy cruiser and I'm ready to roll!!:D-Still have to put on the intake, replace drivers and passenger glass and install the new shifter but it's definately comin' around. Without further adoo.......................

Stance and wheel and tire combo are perfect. I have always liked the '59 and '60 ElCaminos.

the exhaust in the wheel wells, the rims, the color, heck even the velour interior is rad.

if there's anything i can contribute, let me know...

Thanks fella's for the words. I never thought I'd want something this new but it feels the oldest of any I've owned. I love this thing. I've always got to give credit to JayD and Knuckle for the help they put in on my cars. Always there to fix what I break or whatever needs to be done. Big thanks goes out to them as usual.

That is a sweet ride. It would look even cooler with some mini trim rings from wheelkid:

I assume you mean seat, it's not hooked up at the moment, just leaning against the seat. It should sit up more on the "hump" when mounted. Still column shift for now until I get some motivation.
