Great story - Great ride
I'm impressed. That is a fine lookin' automobile.
here is my friend Mike`s Hudson..the plate is real!
Perseverance-v. "to continue in spite of difficulty". Excellent trait not to mention your welding and other skills. The car looks awsome. Just think what if would be like if Barris had chopped a Hudson instead of a Merc.
Wow it's turning out really nice. I just sold my wife's 50' to an older guy in Seattle who use to hot rod them when they were new. There's a guy down here in socal with a bunch of skirts if you need them.
Beautiful car! I love stories with a happy ending.
you have done well. lots of guys can only dream about what you have done, in a short time. well done.
This thread is a few months old. Thanks to Mika for bringing it back from the dead.
I really busted my ass on this car to get it going over the summer, had a few issues in the beginning getting it to run and all (I had the trans out 8 times, 3 different transmissions, and 2 motor rebuilds), but it's a fine runner now.
It looks a bit different, I've added 52 Ford front fender flares, a custom made front license plate mount. and a 53 Hudson rear bumper center section. I actually just came in from the garage working on the 57 Lincoln steering wheel that's going in the car.
I'll be working this winter on the paint and body. I sold a few things to come up with the scratch to paint it before spring.
thanks for all the kind words.
NOOOOOO! How could you! That car was awsome Joe. You should be ashamed of yourself. What are you gonna get now? Don't tell me a FED!
shave the gas door
Big body klean
what a good looking car! congrats on a job well done
Great job. Very cool, the Hudsons have sweet lines.
Ha ha...this thread is pretty freaking old. 2 years or so?
It's all torn apart at the moment...getting ready for paint.
If anyone is interested in looking through the updates from the past couple of years...here they are:
Keith, Merry Christmas to all my buds up north!!!
Persistence pays. That's definitely one of my fave cars!
Fantastic! I found a 51 Hud with a bad floor that I wanted to build. Now I see it's possible. Awsome skills dude.
Old thread but a good one! Lets see a thread on its current progress ??? Thanks for keeping me motivated on my hudson.
PS I have a 52 hudson Brougham for sale if interested pm me>
Thanks Dave Hitch

It'll be 53 Buick Titan red...
