Did you get it? You boys in 'Bama sure find good stuff!
Nope. It popped up on a FB page.
It’s located in New Hampshire
I thought that rear end was cool
That’s the first I’ve seen the chassis research hubs
Thought you folks here would like it.
I’d like to hear comments on the front end set up.
Good thing it isn't in PA..
Lots of interesting details there. I'm intrigued by the suspension ...
It is interesting.
It would be fun to display.
Either as-is or restored.
It would be fun to clean up and make a cacklefest car out of.
Would I make it driveable and let one of my kids make a pass in it?
Is that the model of it?
Those chassis took a beating
Nice crackle fest ride.
Its has a couple cool parts and would make a nice template for duplication but what would be changed for a track to let ya hammer on it though
Chassis Research TE 440, (Top Eliminator, 440 yards).
Is that a modified ford banjo rear? Or aftermarket for strength?
What's a "crackle fest"?
Old drag cars cranking up at shows.
and bad spellin on my part
sitting with the family jewels very close to a diff seems scary enough. But that close to a banjo. Ouch
What was done to these things to handle the hp?
Or were they so easy to find ya didn’t care much if ya broke em.
Re. the term "cacklefest"
I was the announcer at the 2021 WV Drag Racer Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Cruise-In / Car Show. We had a pair of FED's with blown hemi's on nitro. I was calling their "fire-up" a cacklefest when I was approached by a vey famous chassis builder who told me to not use that term to describe the firing of the engines. He went on to say that NHRA had actually copyrighted that phrase and that he had heard of "cease and desist" letters going to promoters using the term to describe their local events. I quickly changed my description to "they are going to cackle the cars" and haven't received a letter from NHRA, so I guess I did ok.
That's for injected Nitro, they tend to "crackle more"
@DDDenny was thinking a few older women in a room and trying to see how it pertained
This is included in the ad. HAMB Drags, anyone?!
Separate names with a comma.
