Intake for a 248 ST8 Buick

Has anyone successfully built a multi car intake for a 248 Straight 8 Buick? If so, would love to see some pictures and some details if possible. Thanks! Gary

 

I saw an Edmunds dual carb setup for a Buick on THAT auction web-site during the week.

Find the Buick 8 powered Great American Race car Coker ran a few years ago - nice 4 - 2 setup

 

I've been looking for the Shafer 8 that was in the Coker car. So far, all I can find are outside pics. I don't suppose you have a link handy? Thanks! Gary

 

Didn't Buick have dual carbs one year? Maybe around 40 or so.

 

41 I think it will work on the 248 but it's gonna need some modification to make it fit. I believe it was a 320 that the duel carbs were on

 

Duals were made in '41 and '42. I believe they were made for the 248, 263 and 320 engines.

That's Don Montgomery on the left ... he's one of us.

 

I'm not reaaly sure where I came across that picture. If I had to guess, I would probably say I found it on the HAMB or team Buick website. There are three pics of Don Montgomery's Buick powered Hudson in "California Bill's Chevrolet GMC & Buick Speed Manual". There are two pics of the straight 8 with 4 Stromberg 48's, and one pic of the exterior with "the owner" standing by it. The pictures are sort of small and lack detail though.
