Installed shift kit - Now car only goes forward? C4

I had a few spare hours last night so I installed a B&M shift improver kit in my C4. I got it all back together and the car goes forward in all gears but park. It has no reverse, just first in D,R,N, and R. Is there a problem with the shift detent?

If I put it in first it seems to be in neutral. I drove it out of the garage and parked it until this weekend when I have time to pull it apart again.

 

I heard of same thing.It turns out some trans were colume shift and floor shift.Locker shifters give you a bolt on lever and it points down.Your lever must be up to say 11 oclock.
