A while ago there was a thread about what inspires you. I keep thinking about that and the stuff people put up, furniture, trains etc. This morning I got off on a tangent in another thread about people getting inspired by cars that are a bit different and thought I'd share this bit of trim on a total non hot rod car. This car is a Zagoto 750MM Panoramica. Now, before you get all worked up, ignore the whole car except the strip of chrome going down the side with the Buick like ports that end in half frenched in side marker lights. Wouldn't that look great on a early 50's custom? Made me wonder what else other people out there have seen on some weird car, boat or airplane that might fit right in on a hot rod or custom. What have you seen?
I think the coolest part is that the trim is flush mounted. The metalmen made a recess and the trim fits inside. Very neat. If you can't find inspiration and ideas on vintage wooden boats, you're not paying attention!
Yea, you're right about the recess, I've filed that away for future reference. That last boat in the back has alot to look at on it!
