Rich: I think I might know someone who just might be able to help you. Contact Ray Soff his home phone number is 201-796-8948 and he lives in Saddlebrook, N.J. Ray is known as the East Coast Rod & Custom Historian. This guy can tell you the complete history of most custom cars that were ever in car shows up and down the east coast for the past 50 years!!! I have had customers from Arizona contact me who were trying to find out the history of a 55 custom Chevrolet they have and I told them to contact Ray and they called me back about one hour later and told me that he knew the complete history of the car including how many owners it had and how many different colors the car had been over the past 30 years. Give him a call and if the answering machine is on just leave him a message and he will call you back. Tell him Jim Hill told you to call. Jimbo
i have all the information you need on that car........i'm the one building it along with the few guys at my shop.
52 chevy business coupe 3" chop in front 4" in rear. handmade custom B pillers section rear deck, reradiused rear wheel wells. tons of other touches. click on the link to see a few pictures from the project gallery of the site. http://sixdeuces.com/temp/?page_id=10&album=3&gallery=7
Its getting built at Six Deuces Speed Shop outta Milford De. It should be finished this time next year.
1954 chevy bar. 53 chevy teeth. Grill is one peice floating. 57 bumper cut all to hell to fit body. Bumper bullets moved in to flow with headlights better. Bumper is one piece now.
If someone told me they were going to put a '57 Chevy bumper on a '52, I'd tell them it was a horrible idea, but seeing it done, I think it looks fantastic. I'm sure it took a ton of cutting but was worth the effort. I'm impressed with that.
Look at that website. This cat is good. I love the way the side windows look, pillar work is wicked and the bumpers....damn that is a nice car so far.
I really dig the car and the quality of work is dialed for sure, not so sure on the b post, but hey some bodys gotta do something different every now and then right seriously though, you guys are building a sweet ride!
