Event Coverage "In the still of the night",... Detroit in the witching hours 2013

Thanks for sharing the pics, one of these years I'm going to make it up there for that show.

 

I'm an old guy but I can tell you that this is a great time to be alive in the auto world. There's something for everybody. The variety and level of construction is unmatched by the past. I looked at the upstairs photos and the basement. I fell in love so many times that I can't remember them all. The weather is bad here today and this has been a great way to mentally be somewhere else. Thanks to all who have posted pics.

I was digging the Monza wagon..

 

Sorry I missed you this year, I was in early on Saturday before opening and got my pictures that I am sorting. I drove back to Atlanta on Sunday and haven't caught up yet. The pearl T bird I remember from the Rotunda show in the fifties. When I moved to Florida I built a clone of that car and then traded it for a 34 coupe.
Those lonely night shots reminded me of a night I spent in a show in 1961 that I rented the Beatnic Bandit for a show and couldn't afford security and stayed all night by myself.

Oh man that blue Merc is stuff I like to see.The guy didn't just build one like every one else ,he went outside the box and pulled off one cool ride. Now that is what I call a custom! Thanks for posting the photos.
