...Driven and of Hue
Credit to Photographer, Owner
I saw a new Ford truck today that was a non-matelic Washigton Blue or close shade. It looked good enough for me to consider using it on my '47 Ford coupe.
I think this thread needs another picture of my RPU
Well Okay how about 4 pictures
I'll never get tired of looking at your RPU (I don't think anyone else on here will either). I've been following your intake manifold refinishing thread. I'm hoping that it turns out as well as the rest of the car. That is about the most aesthetically pleasing 3 deuce setup I've ever seen.
Thanks, I’ll be updating as I go. I think it’s going to look even better for appearance, durability and function.
There will be some news to share along the way with the carbs too as things come together
related to the leaks and other fuel delivery issues.
Here is mine again with wheel change at sun rise.
After almost 20yr as black, my truck is turning shiny blue one piece at a time.
Time to update this thread again. This photo was in my facebook news feed this morning.
Another update today, this one also from my facebook news feed.
Another addition to the collection:
It may just be my monitor but I swear that is more of an Alberta Blue.
My old school Hot Rod Phaeton
time to update this thread, found this one on a Traditional Hot Rod group on MeWe social media page (any of you guys that may be leaving facebook may want to check this out as an alternative):
Time for an update, more Washington Blue:
Cotswold Blue - a late Jaguar 50’s blue
These 2 photos are from @lothiandon1940 's album "Missed opportunities".
Not the shiniest......
Time for some more bluuuu.....
This is sweet!
that 1 above is a really really nice car
My '40 pickup is currently in the paint shop getting shot with this color, in single stage Glasurit.
That's going to look great. Please post pics when done!
That looks good! Modern equivalent of Washington Blue? Do you have the number?
I've always loved Washington Blue. My FARGO is similar in an early '80s Chrysler/Dodge Nitghwatch Blue. But with the last four pics I can hardly believe the similarities with '72-73 TR6 Saphire Blue I just shot my TR6 in. Quite stunning. Now the only trouble I'm having is that my '32 5W will be blue as well as my '56 Meteor Rideau Victoria.
I'm wondering if I should try another colour on my other projects! LOL
This is on the back of the sample.
