i found a 62-64 impala 4 door at a local yard and it still has the rear end but no axle's, the trailing arms are still on it , would i be able to use that rear and trailing arms on a 1950 pontiac? instead of the leafs?

Yes you are. I have that setup in my 56 Bel Air with airbags, drives very well, handles very well but was a PITA to install. In hindsight it would have been easier and most likely cheaper if I went triangulated 4-link.

58-64 Impala rearends were wider than the 55-57 varieties. Check existing width of your Poncho and compare.

'59-64 Chevy rears are 60" wide wheel surface to wheel surface. Don't know about '50 Poncho.

It would be way easier to use a four link AirRide Tech or similar generic type set-up weather you are using air bags or not, JMHO. Those cars need the left upper arm added to help for performance, have one upper arm stock.
