Today we take for granted that most stations are open 24 hours but I doubt many in town back then were and if anyone needed gas late would had to get it from a truck stop out on the state highways.

  11. Hey, if anyone perchance has a picture of the Consumers Oil Station on the No West corner of 7th an Joplin St, Joplin , MO, from the 50S, would be neat. That is where I started my working life.

    Thanks
    Ben

  14. I don't ever remember seeing the Richfield stations in BC in the 50s or 60s. I see the Vancouver stamp on the lower rh side of the photo. I was living in Vancouver in the early 60s, and would be interested in knowing where this station was located.

  25. Love the Lark station wagon. I don't recall ever seeing a live one. One of my friend's dad, had the local Austin, and Studebaker dealerships. Jim, my friend, wanted to buy a performance car, and his dad talked him into getting the V8 powered Lark.
The car performed quite well, but it was an orphan. Nobody else was interested in getting one.

I would ride up there tonight in the sunliner after I adjust the modulator valve one more time but some cities have put that liquid salt on the roads today.

Yeh we did (northern Indiana). I’d love to see what’s left or there! Randy
