I'm really digging these pics as I have a '56 Meteor Rideau Victoria waiting its turn which I've previously mentioned. However, I wish there were two threads...tri five '54-56s as well as the the '57-59s. To me those are the logical groupings especially for the trucks.

I know the '55-57 Chivies have been regarded as the "tri fives" for longer but Ford had two series of tri fives!

  13. This one is a phantom... Ford never built a 2-dr 'woody' after '51.

    That’s ok… some idiots are calling tri-5 Chevrolet’s “shoeboxes”. Go figure….

I think Ranch Wagon was their best in 55 for a 2 door. Would have great if Ford would have Fairlane trim on the 2 door like they did on the 4 door..56 changed with the Parklane but a year late. Ford guys missed the boat on what GM did with the Chev/Pontiac in 55

My date car in HS. Mom was black too no skirts, baby moons, white walls, and 2” lowered in the front. She didn’t mind and dad never said anything. She sold it in late 61 when I was a senior. It’s why I have one now. Loved that car.
