1320 NEWS was published in Providence Rhode Island, and covered New England and New York area. It was a weekly newspaper/ magazine. I don't think it lasted more than one season 1966. img300.jpg

Eastern Drag News started in Virginia in 1962, then went onto cover the whole northeast. Late img299.jpg in 1965 it changed to a newspaper format, then sold to Drag Times.

It's been gone for years, stopped publication in 1989. First issue was Fall 1981, Vol 1 No 1, 5 issues through Fall '82. V2 through V5 were also 5 issues, although I'm not positive about V5. V6 was only 2 issues and it went to a quarterly publication. V7 went back to 5 issues and as best as I can determine V8 only had one issue, maybe two.
It had some good articles, some so-so, at times the covers were black and white. I'm still looking for a few. Likely underfunding and it's poor circulation spelled doom.

Happy New Year from a frozen Long Branch NJ....great thread and thanks to 40ragtopdown
for posting the Custom Craft Magazine cover featuring the daily drivers of fellow Haulin'
Gents Car Club Members Terry Brownings 58 Ranchero,Dick Wreblevskys 58 Impala and
Denny Traversos 57 Ford....I remember buying that mag at one of the downtown magazine-
paper stores....Photog Woody Higgins treated area cars well in the pages of Custom Craft,
Custom Rodder,Car Speed and Style and others.
