I'm stoked. Got me a new ride

I got it to my shop this afternoon. A friend of mine picked this 54 Ford up in NJ about 8 years ago. It was actually from what I'm told an old drag/ show car. All the custom bodywork was done in the last 8 years while it was in CT. It's got a 406 6 barrel & a 4 speed. I've got to put some rocker panels on it & do some other stuff to it but it goes like a mf'er & it'll look good come spring.

VERY cool car. In all my 39+++ years I never saw a 54 Chevy grill in a 52-54 Ford, don't know why though looks like it was made for it. I like the suede lookin blue color too. I haven't even heard tell of a 406 6 barrel in 30 years. Congatulations, you have every right to be stoked. Tom

The black car is a 51 poncho that I got running, converted to 12v ALT & did the brakes on in May/ June for a buddy & it's still there. SANZO, get your fuckin' car out of my yard.

The taillights are 56 Packard. The lower section of the taillight housings with the back-up lights has been cut off.

hows your Ford lowered front and rear

 

Hell yeah! That thing is cool as-is. I wouldn't get in a real big hurry to "fix-it-up".

 

Fatty, The front springs are cut & has 3in. blocks in the rear. I can find out how much the front coils were cut because the guy I got the car from lowered it. I used to sit way high & it had big 4ft long chrome traction bars on the rear when it was in New Jersey.

Sport-n, Alot of people have been telling me to leave it alone. The black rims w/o caps are kinda growing on me but thats not usually my style plus I'm used to seeing this car with the caps & the long vynil siding looking skirts on it.
