No problem, thats what is great about the Hamb.!! I also thought about building a ficture for turning the dies 90 deg to the c then you can run as long a panel as you want. Just a thought.

Neat looking press. that frame is about three times as stout as mine, so flexing should not be to much of a problem. My only comment would be that it looks like throat depth might be a bit of a limiting factor. My press has approximately 54" of depth, and I frequently wish I had more. Good luck with your new toy, you'll find yourself punching holes in damn near every thing!

That brings up another thought, my press has a table built around it that is at the same hight as the lower die. It can be removed if I need to punch in a reversed manor. Supporting the material not only effects how well the louvers cut, but whether the panel stretches or sags. With my table I keep a half dozen anti freeze bottles partially filled with water to act as "pillows" to keep larger hoods supported while I'm punching. Keeping the hood at neutral, and the panel being punched flat to the dies goes a long way to preventing the "oh shits"! It sounds a bit complicated, but when you hand a customer a hood back, it's always good when it fits! If you cant visualize what I'm saying give me a P.M. and I'll try to get you apicture of what I'm talking about.

I am putting the finishing touches to my press. I bought the lowbuck head and built basically the same style of stand that eddie did. All I need to do is drill and tap mounting holes and then cut out for the mounting plate. Will post pics soon I hope.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't followed up lately. Punched quite a few louvers and everything is working great.

I got side tracked on my latest project pics to follow.

I am going to making two new sets of louver dies this weekend. Have a customer that needs one matched and then making a "special" one just for my 37.

Hey guys haven't checked the thread in awhile.

Pricing is dependent on a few things. Send me a pm or check my site and give me a call.

I need to get pics of the 40 hood. It just got painted so now would be the time to get some pics.
