That is a dictionary stand, based on eBay prices asking and sold it is a big chunk of 1932 Ford frame money. Has one missing cast piece and a half missing broken part, patent date is 1895. DSCF0887.JPG

What are the odds of someone listing that missing piece on eBay and some remains of the broken one? Better yet he accepted my offer!:):):):):)

Today is the first Monday after what would normally have been Hershey Week, it is overcast and a bit rainy, not the most motivational day. I did get a bunch of wood in the basement, so I have dry material to build bookshelves. I enjoy the book sales, dust them off photograph, list and sell, wrap & mail, the '32 Rails fund is growing. Bob

  5. I got a larger shed today. Actually it is the same shed it just looks much bigger now that I cleaned it up. Good day to do it with the weather being what it is.

You two should have still been unloading your trailers. Hopefully next year.

Robert didn't have a job for the trailer until mid summer, so it never got fully unloaded from 2019. When it did half the stuff went to scrap. What is the mood in Hershey Region, pumped up for 2021 or gun shy about the whole thing? Bob

Parted with the old Marx tin log Cabin after 60 years, put a few bucks in the frame rail & kickup fund. Basement is jammed with a lot of stuff that just came in, needs to be put in place so I have room to walk, not climb over stuff.

  11. That's cool, it looks about the right scale for my garden railroad. JW

That's really cool! They sure don't make toys like that anymore.

Picked up Four sled conversion runners at the Sunday Flea Market. Really nicely made, look like motorcycle tube forgings. Just take the wheels off your buggy and install all four and you are ready for snow travel. They are HANK tested and approved.

Up Date: Bad investment, took a year to sell them for what I paid for them.

  16. Bob, I had the Marx log cabin as a young boy. I also had the Cavalry fort, and the army fort later with all the plastic soldiers.

My Blue & Gray Battle set became '32 Rail Fund money a few months ago. There is a lot of stuff I saved from my younger days, went from toys that we both had our fun with to "collectables". There is plenty of odds & ends to give the grandkids but parting with old toys to fund new toys just felt right, but it took a while to think it over. Hope all is well, Best wishes for the holidays.

when we moved to edgecomb, me. in '61 the sellers left a complete perfect wooden conastoga wagon
model about 16" long on a little table in one of the kids room closets...
when we moved to auburn, me. in '69 the sellers left a 18" long PT 109 model boat... my brother loved that thing... would be kind of nice to still have 'em...

Look at that, the perfect top profile for a 30-31 Ford Roadster. Don't know who owns this car, but it sure looks nice. Bob

  20. I believe that is Cedric Meeks car. He's in the Estranged CC out of Portland.

Got a few bucks for an Sanderson Aviation training kit I've had since Aviation Club days back in 1966. Sold it to the grandson of the founder of the company, going to be a Christmas gift for his dad, how cool is that! s-l1600.jpg

We're about even, lost four pairs of glasses and found teeth marks in the TV remote.
