Newt here Well it looks like all is set. I've told the Lads to be at the shop for 5am. I think they were suprised that there is 2 in a day. The truck got an oil change, a wash, and the summer tires and wheels back on. The trailer, got the wheels pulled and the bearing checked and repacked, new seals all the way around, lights checked, breaks checked and suspension checked. Did I miss anything? I hope to be back by Saturday, with the Deuce in tow Thanks to all for your prayers and understanding...Newt
I've got enough to get me to Buffalo. Then it's that cheap yankee fuel. My F150 holds about a tanker truck load. At least that is what seems when I pay. Thanks...Newt
Drive careful!!! I imagine the seller has heard the story of what happened by now. I also imagine he was flabbergasted and saddened as the rest of us were. Looking forward to seeing pics of your buddy's dream.
Good luck Newt, bring the Deuce and yourselves back safely. Like someone mentioned, bring a few spare tires and a jack. Take plenty of pics.
Just the kind of idiotic post to take this sad occassion in a stupid direction. Thanks Holeshot for showing us a new low in compassion and understanding. Frank
Hope you got all the proper paperwork in order to get back across the boarder. If not it can be problems. Good luck
Hey Newt, I'm with the others on the spare tires, jack and tools!! Tie downs too. Have a fun ,safe trip. This one I know is going to be bitter-sweet, but it will be great. Dusty will be ridin along with ya for sure. I hope you can take some pics. Don't forget batteries and or the charger for the camera!! You guys drive safe, have fun, and we'll all be waiting to see the deuce. Motor easy my friend. Al
Newt, This is another roadtrip the two of you share together. Make it a safe one, I'm sure you'll remember every moment. My condolences to you, and Dusty's family. He was a great guy!
Don't forget the laptop, actually forget it on purpose to give your pal another good laugh....seriously good luck& safe travels.
Hi Newt. We've lost a good friend in Dusty...but gained another in you. A big warm welcome to the hamb, pal. We'll all be with you in spirit, and thinkin' of you guys while you're on you're trip. I'm sure we'd all love to have you share with us as you go...if you can. If not, we'll see ya when you get back. One suggestion if I may? Get first-floor rooms, and park that truck/trailer/roadster right outside your room. Maybe slip the attendant something to help keep watch. All the best to you and the "Lads". They didn't realize there were two five-oclocks? Hahahahahaha! God bless. Rick
Hey Newt,.... I find it a privilege to pray for those who ask for it,... after following some of the threads and posts, I can see where this adventure is going to be filled with mixed emotions,.....(as it is in life) It's not just about the destination, it's about the Journey. Your on my prayer list for traveling mercies,..... (Oh yeah,.... and we want to see pictures !)
GodSpeed!!!! I am sure that your friend will be right there with you riding in that old Duece on the way back home with a big smile on his face.
