Does anybody know if Fabian with the brown Chevy is a HAMB member? I'd like to ask him about the color on his car if you know how I could get ahold of him.

Thats what I thought when I saw it, thats a bitchin color. I instantly turned around and went and drooled all over that weird looking car. It might be the color of one of my next rigs.

heres mine...wish I`d gone for black....it looks ok in this picture, but it is too light in the sunlight.Looking at some of the pictures posted on here ,it seems there are some really nice shades of brown, you just need something to wake it up ; ie whitewalls or the cream firewall etc.

here are some from my 567 gm folder that I like.
I think sierra gold was the name for the brown that was common on 55 pontiacs, 56, and 57 chevys

    Hello All-

Been searching for the paint code/number, if any, of the 'cordovan brown' on the Doyle Gammel 32 coupe. I've found several 'cordovan brown' paint listings online, but none seem to look like the color on that coupe, they look a bit lighter.

Anyone got any info on this? Thanks for listening.

About a lifetime ago, there was a bitch'n Deuce coupe out of Amarillo, I think, painted a striking copper color. Not really brown, not red or orange, but really beautiful. If I have a pic, it is buried in the piles of snapshots from those years ago. I know, not much help.

The one posted by hartman 601 is great. I love the depth to the paint. I think the key is to have plenty of clear over the paint. My Dad had an S-10 in the mid 80's that had a great brown metallic like this.

Anybody know this car's owner or the builder? I've had a pic of it for a while and it's the exact brown I'm looking to use on my T roadster, and I'd like to know the paint numbers.

it seems most of these good looking brown ride have one thing in common. whitewalls to offset the darker color.. some really pretty rides..

I have to agree with you. It's a really nice contrast to the brown. Everytime I see that 40 Pick up I start to drool all over again. Thats a beauty. There are some really nice samples posted up. Thanks to all.

In the early 60's Mercury offered a color called Black Cherry. It always seemed closer to a root beer to me.
