For those of you that know him, Doc knows how to save a life, but if he had to post pictures to do it, we'd all be dead, So, I, who am only slightly better at this than a chimp, have agreed to post his solution to a little problem he ran into a while back. And now, in his own words; I'd been wanting to put a PM7 intake on the 31 Speed Special sedan for about a year now. Dick Spadaro took the one off his car, and I was able to pick it up (thanks Dick). I scored a couple of Stromberg 97's from Riley Automotive and I was ready to do the swap, but when I did the mockup, I ran into a little snag. The Thickstun does not have provision for an oil tube fill/breather. One solution is to run the breather at the fuel pump stand, but this would not work due to no clearance at the firewall. I had seen a post on the HAMB showing a flattie with a breather on the oil pan, so I figured that would solve my problem. I mounted a 45 degree Moon breather on the passenger side of the pan and it turned out pretty cool. Here's some shots to see how it turned out. Hopefully this will be useful to anyone who runs into the same problem. Enjoy! Doc.
