I had a buddy on another forum experience close to the same thing 1 1/2 years ago. Another friend lost his wife about 5 years ago when she fell off a step ladder while painting in their living room and hit her head on the coffee table. It's going to be a rough year ahead of you. One day at a time, the pain eases after a while. My prayers are with you. Try to stay positive.

I'm very sorry for your loss Rick. It sounds like your wife was quite a lady. That last paragraph is almost word for word how I would describe my wife and I can't even imagine being in your situation. As others have said, hopefully you can surround yourself with friends and family at a time like this. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm just a lurker here, heck I don't even own a Hamb-friendly car but I love this place for all that I've learned and stories I've enjoyed from some really great folks. People like you. And then to read of this tragedy that's happened to you brings tears to my eyes also. What a wonderful woman. As so many others have said I can't imagine what you're going through now. Yes, we know she's in a far better place and that helps but I know we all feel terribly for the pain you are feeling. It's easy to know from what you wrote that you had a wonderful wife but I gotta' think that Sandy had a pretty great guy too. I am so sorry for your loss and I'm keeping you in my prayers. Please don't stay away for long.

  24. It was only last week, while reading a post of yours, that i stopped and thought about how much i enjoy reading what you write, and how you were a decent fella. After being away for a few days, i get back, and find your heart wrenching news. I am very sad to read this. Keha Kaha (NZ Maori, for 'Be Strong.)
