  1. Used it on my Model A, great to work with, recommended!!

  2. I love the stuff also, but you still have to remember the nut before you flare it. LOL I've bought several 25' rolls 3/16" at swap meets for $30-$35, not that expensive.

I have a block of Delrin that I drilled the long way, in all the sizes that I might use (3/16"-1/2" by 1/6ths). Sliding the tubing through that straightens it out.

I built a tubing straightener out of a piece of wood, an old idler pulley, and 2 old mismatched v-belt pulleys.

I just finished using it on my coupe. No comparison on how nice it is to use compared to SS. I spent the money on the Eastwood flaring tool, a couple different benders and a tubing straitener. If you want to make nice looking safe brake lines I think it only makes sense to use all good stuff. [IMG][IMG]

  9. This is why I don't use it. I use the green stuff from NAPA, buy a long piece, cut it in 2 pieces, only have to flare 1 end.

  10. I made this from some angle iron and pulleys for straightening Kunifer. Push it backwards and forwards and it soon comes straight.

It comes in sticks at Advance Auto, right next to the green stuff.

This is the straightener I have. Bought it from m Eastwood when I got their flaring tool. Thing works slick and isn't expensive. I buy the brake line from jegs

  13. Thanks, I'll look for it as long as I don't have to ask a nimrod behind the counter to see it.

I did my whole corvair with it. I have also used it for quite some time now with no problems so far. Great stuff.

I agree this stuff is the shit. I never done brake lines ever I was nervous big time. And man I just got on here and asked about it and you know what it was the most easyest part of the project. And I know nothing of brake lines and I'm so happy that it worked out so easy for me. Love the stuff and I'll stick with it as long as I drive or help some one I will recommend it to anyone that does brake lines ever

One thing I do whenever I use nicopp line is I spray it with clear. Not gloss, just satin clear because I've found, at least here in NEPA, that over time it starts to tarnish and get like a greenish look to it, like water lines in a house. Unless that's what you're looking for.

    Hello
I was some of your other postings, and would like to get more pictures from you. Man, you do great work( econoline van). I'm helping a buddy drop a 1962 econoline truck. What you done is right up the ally on what we want to do. I knew the rearend set would be a breeze, didn't know we could do up front to get rid of the straight axle. What did you do for the steering? Please get back.
    Thanks
    Willard

"Tim_with_a_T" sent me a roll a few weeks ago. Today, I did a couple flares just to see how it worked. Best flares I have ever done. EVER. Highly recommended.

You can use pretty much any of the brake tube nuts that you have used in the past.

I went to NiCopp two builds ago and never looked back. Built a straightener out of 6 screen door rollers and some scrap metal by plagiarizing someone over on the tool thread. I have about $8 in the straightener.

I buy tube nuts and rock guard in bulk from Amazon or Eb*y and get my tees and clamps from the U-Pull.
