Hot Rods If you could pick a car that epitomizes the word "Hot Rod" what one car fits that bill?

I ended up buying that coupe from Jordan. Very cool little ride. Sold it to a guy from Vallejo.

Another work of art from Johnson's Hot Rod Shop. Homeboy builds some nice stuff. I love the Y-block in this one.

Any number of cars fit the bill for me but,
they are more often than not a stripped down '28-'32 Ford Roadster built between the late forties through the mid fifties.
They may have been finely painted and detailed in life but in my mind's eye they were home built and just a little on the crude side.
They were definitely driven, maybe a little too fast on the street and maybe pushed a little too hard on the strip
but all in the name of fun.

I'll agree with Racer 29 and Highlander. Nothing says Hot Rod like Chrisman's Coupe.

    No explanation required.

But Ed Isky's car gets extra points for being first.

By far my all time favorite hot rod is the Flint Roadster.
Built by Dick Flint in the years after WW2 it was raced at the dry lakes and was featured in numerous magazines. Sold in 1961 to LA Roadsters member Dwane Kofoed who campaigned the roadster on the streets of SoCal until selling it to Don Orosco in the 1990s. Don did a complete restoration, competing at and winning the Pebble Beach Concours.
In 2013 RM Auctions sold the roadster for $525,000.
My stupid computer wont let me upload a picture!
Maybe someone will post a pic of this beautiful car.

Too many factors including when you were born but 3 Window Larry's coupe nails it for me. Stance, timeless looks, mean looking as all hell but still built to be driven anywhere any time without a hassle. Plus it holds it's own in a garage with some of the most outstanding garage mates on the planet and does it well.
