Hey,

The design of the Edsel, or the "E" car as it was known on the inside, was largely the work of one Roy A. Brown , Jr. Besides the Edsel, Brown also penned the Lincoln Futura, the car that would one day become the " Bat-
mobile". That one was built by George Barris! The cost cutters at Ford cut and butchered Brown's original design of the Edsel until it became everything knowone wanted anything to do with. When the Edsel became a huge loss, on all fronts for Ford, the blame fell largely on Roy Brown's sholders. He was treated as a bastard red headed step child in the design circles at Ford ,for some years to come.
Some Edsel models were in fact built on Mercury frames, the Corsair & Citation models.

I think it's super badass looking, and I sure hope it's being restored or at least stored properly, she looks rough in the last couple of pics.
