Technical identify what's buried on the beach *excavation has begun!*

    Thats a Model T torque tube sticking up out of the sand.

    I just read an article about "beach wagons" of Cape Cod. The article states that when they broke down or got stuck in a storm, they just left them. It went on to say that over the years, after severe storms, they sometimes wash up. Keep digging.

Ted,you might have made a earth shaking discovery and proof positive that Eric the Reds son,Lief Eriksson,the 11 th century Norse explorer trans-versed the seas from his home in Iceland and discovered America 500 years before that self absorbed charlatan Christopher Columbus claimed he was the first to set foot on these shores.

    That or it's a piece of rusty junk buried in the sand. :rolleyes: HRP

    @TFoch , just trying to get rid of some money.........good place to do that.:D
    i think it would be cool to find one piece that could be used, even if it is just a grease fitting.

    One of the stories in family lore, Gramps took the family on vacation from Ioway to Florida in a Model A, I guess, around 1938, in a company car. Got it stuck at Cocoa Beach. And then the tide came in. Doh! Way to go Gramps.
