Looks like someone grafted a 40 Willys front on to ... ?

Maybe its just a pile of stuff tossed together and its nothing ?

  2. A neat "special".

  3. Absolutely nothing at all and you really don't want it in your way. ya want my address? :D

I guess it is all steel? Maybe it started out as a Heally. What's the back half look like?

It does but, they don't have that split seat area -- do they ?

  5. Nope they don't. Looks like it may have been infulenced by a Corvette a little in that dept. I am think it is an English import but I can't think of anything that would have had the split seats.

I guess it could have been a car completely custom fabbed.

The tub reminds me of Triumph TR-2 or TR-3, the doors & cowl section anyway.

  9. Perhaps, I am trying to get a pic of an early jag in my head. I just don't remember if they had a divided seat.

You got any paperwork on that thing?

Looks like a hand made "special" from the fifties. The early sports car boom led to a lot of guys building their own sports cars out of junkyard parts. Some of them even got finished.

Some of them did very well indeed. Think "Ole Yeller" and the "Eliminator".

I bought a Willys Coupe rear section that was all rotten , it was a custom Roadster back in the fifties apparently .................... I haven't figuered out how to post pics yet though lol..................not a computer guy . There's also a pic floating around on the net titled Blue Fiero GT and it's an old Willys Coupe Roadster too . It's a shame to see these old heros cut up .

click reply ( just like you did to post that )

scroll down, see manage attachements ..

    click manage attachements

It should pop up a box, there should be a spot that says "browse"

click that, it will allow you to find the pics in your compter, when you find that pic

    click Upload

It will take a 2nd or two , it should show you a timer ..

then when finishes, just hit submit reply

ONE OFF CUSTOM ROD NOTHING SPECIAL , at least that's what I believe . Customs were being built then too , here's another example but a 37 / 38 .....................

  27. There were some articles in Hot Rod and Car Craft in the late 50's early 60's with cars similar to that. Seems hand built rods/customs with sports car shadings where a trend for a while.

ya teach me this "hot link" you talk about !

I like these customs but now that I have my 40 Coupes I am glad I don't have to deal with removing any "custom" work like that .

I was out hunting one day and spotted it in the back yard of someone's house I knocked on the door but no one was home. I took a few pics of it. The next weekend I went back but it was gone. At the time it had a flathead with a four barrel . I wondered what happened to it. That was about ten twelve yrs ago.:eek:
