My guess is it's for a Ford 6 cylinder. The intake is cast onto the head and this would be the only way to add extra carbs. my2¢ your may vary?
Yeah, if you're thinking the 170-200-250 six, that's not it. I don't know either, but there were some '50's flat sixes that used intakes like this. Later, Kinky6

If that fits the particular Nash engine that I think, it has even a weirder exhaust setup.. The manifold is actually just an exhaust pipe, mounted along the side of the block. Kind of like a Flute on the block It has cradle shaped saddles around the ports, for the pipe to lay on.
