Here is a easy one for you guys: (Click for a bigger image.) My dad saw it today and sent me this picture. The grill looks so familiar but I just can't place it. I'm pretty sure its about 1954-ish. I've been googleing every make I can think of and can't find it. Its killing me! Thanks, Ryland
Thanks! Man I was off on the date! I guess I wasn't thinking Pontiac because it didn't have to strips down the hood. Ryland
Side view of a 57 Pontiac wagon........... Front shot of another 57............. If it would happen to be an "Intercontinental" model, grab it for sure - as only 5 were made. VERY RARE STATION WAGON..ONLY five EVER BUILT 1957 Pointiac Intercontinental Station Wagon 1st Introduced At The 1957 Worlds Fair With Cadillac Designing the Interior And Pontiac Tripling The Sheet Metal Considered The Safest Car For Its Time
Not much progress going on with the Buick, I've worked a little bit on putting a dual pot M/C. I drove it once more too. Another OT project has been taking up my car time. Ryland
That could find a place of honor in my garage any time. I had a Starfire that I should have kept and wish I could find a Safari.
Wow! The 57 Pontiac holds an honored place in my heart. My uncle was a Pontiac dealer in 57. He sold my older brother a 57 Super Chief that I lusted after as a 13 year old boy. My uncles demo car was a triple black FI Bonneville convertible. My dad was going to buy it at the end of the model year but my mother put the kibosh on that. The 57 was the rarest Safari or Chevy Nomad of the 3 years. (I don't count the later 4drs only the 2drs count) They have long out paced my pocketbook. I'm back to lusting again.
