Doing an A chassis flathead, traditional I beam, what is the ideal height at front to aim for.

I have a distance of 5 1/2 inches from top of axle to top of front crossmember now.

    4 inch drop axle 35 wires .

  2. What "height" are you trying to achieve? The weight of the flattie will drop it some, can get reversed eye spring if you want lower and semi-elliptics to get even lower. But be mindful of the oil pan to ground clearance that it won't scrape with a flat tire.

  3. Model A front cross P2220223.JPG member, 4" dropped axel, Posies reverse eye spring with the second shortest leaf taken out. SBC and 350 trans.
