This is a crappy cell phone pic of a poster that a friend has on his shop wall. I asked him what it was and he doesn't know. Now we're both wondering. Anyone know what it is? The big yellow car, not the small photo of the 'bird.

While it might not be a modified hot rod, I'd call it a factory hot rod from "back in the day".

Yes, the bird was Jim's 56 that he had years ago. I drove that car a hundred miles or so one day. The only 5-6-7 Thunderbird I've ever ridden in. Jim said that he wanted one when they were new and cost a few thousand dollars but couldn't afford it. He had to wait 'til they were 30K before he could afford one.

I'm guessing' that someone will know for sure what the yellow car is. Yes, I agree that it is a "long wheelbase fancy thing", but when it was new it might have been the fastest thing on the highway.

Based on the pix I found on the web I believe that this is correct.

One hour and 20 minutes (+/-). I told Jim that I probably could get the answer in an hour or two. I bet if I had posted this at 6:00 pm the answer might have come even sooner.

    THANX guys.
