Hey, Choprods, or anyone else who may have done it, how do you go about doing a "slant" chop on a early 30's more door such as a '33 Ford? Seems like it would be much more complicated than doing a traditional chop, such as taking out a constant 4 inches all the way around. But I think that the look is probably worth the extra effort. My '33 has been sitting in the garage long enough. It's time I do something mean with it like build it as a chopped fenderless hiboy! Somebody posted a pic recently of a slant-chopped 34 four door that looked the way i want mine to look. Whoever posted it, please post again.

Yes, that's the car and the look in a hiboy more-door that I am talking about. Thanks for posting the picture. So, has anybody on the HAMB ever successfully done this? Somehow I had it in my head that Choprods had done one like this.
  4. Anyone else!? Lets revive this thread and get some pics up!

  6. Wasn't a big Fordor fan, but damn if there isn't some nice chopped ones, out there. Wow. Not all of these are slant chopped ... but I definitely dig 'em, now. Top two cars are my fav'.

I like the haircut on the sedan in the black & white photos the best. When I chop my 33 Fordor its gonna look like that one.

  10. 34Gaz sent me these pics. Does anyone know the owner, details, or who chopped it? Maybe more pics of it? Or any other pics of chopped 33/34 Fordors?
    Thanks eh...

Cannot help with the actual procedure of the chop, and mine is a Tudor and not a Fordor, but maybe these two posts will help a little.

Kenny Baker out of Elmor Missouri chopped my 34 about 10 years ago. I'm super happy with it. Not sure if he still chops cars or not. Super great guy to deal with.

He removed 2 1/2 inches out of the front and 2 inches out of the back. He lowered the rear window 2 inches, then took one inch out of the top of it since it looked so weird with such a larger back window.
Whether you choose the angle chop or not, that's up to you. If I didn't tell you that it was chopped 1/2" more in the front, you'd never know it.
