Does anyone out there have a Crane Cams catalog?? I just bought a good used cam for a Chevy 194-250 inline six. It is marked H 234/325-8, and also has CC2473, both on the butt end of the cam. Can anyone shed any light on what this is (solid or hydraulic) and what the specs are? I've poked around online, and can't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
The H is for (Hyd) The numbers that normaly follow is the cams duration. Have you tried to call crane? The closest I could come to those numbers the rpm band is ruffly a 1000-5000 rpm. hope that helps.I do deal with a company that can speck that cam and Give you much more info on it. Another words lift duration lobe seperation pretty much the whole 9yards.
Crane's 1980 catalogue shows it to be a "CompuCam" (page 54). Hydraulic lifter 234 duration @ .050 304 duration @ .oo4 .572" lift with 1.76 ratio rocker arm 108 degree lobe separation angle This appears to be a fairly radical, lumpy idle bumpstick!
Thanks a bunch guys! There is truely a wealth of knowledge contained in the minds of the Hamb fellowship.
