I have a 1950 Chevy Fleetline and I need to get all 4 drums and pads. I've google it and the major vendors carry the pads but not The drums. Anyone knows where I can find them? I need then urgently as the car is at the shop and my mechanic can't store the car that long.. Thanks Eddie
Eddie, you don't say where you're located but you can try here; Click here: AUTOMOTIVE BRAKE DRUMS and ROTORS
your link skips right over the drums he needs...49-50 Chevy cars are all by themselves. Surprising that the drums are worn out, I know it's common practice to just replace them on new cars when doing a brake job, but on the old ones they can usually be turned and re-used.
Yeah drum Garden in Los Angles will have them for sure. They had drums for my 56 Oldsmobile. Also try Car truck Shop in Orange County they have a lot of brake parts for your fleetline.
Sorry, I thought this was it; <TABLE width="85%" bgColor=#ffffcc border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>1936-50</TD><TD>with Independent front suspension. Except 1936 Standard</TD><TD>$68.00</TD><TD>$68.00</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
I have everything you need laying in my garage. I just upgraded to 53' Bendix brakes and have all of my original 1950 parts setting here. My car was running, driving, stopping with these brakes last month. If you are interested PM me. Not sure what shipping would be though.
