I won't start on it for a while but I've got a few ideas floating around in my head.... I had to buy one just to keep from chopping my already finished car! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
CoolBreeze.I remember one time I had a big Dodge project coming up my mountain drive way on a flat bed truck {I didn't tell the wife I had bought it} and she was coming home right behind the flat bed. The 1 st thing she said when she got out of her S.U.V. was, OH NO YOU DIDNT!!!!. The flat bed driver was getting out of his truck but when he heard her he climbed back in his truck and shut the door till she went in side. LOL.GOOD TIMES!!!Bruce.
It was either start another car project or remodel the kitchen. I need to lose some weight anyways.... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Been there and done that. I brought home an ElCamino. My wife stared at it and muttered " There goes my new Kitchen and bathroom". I slept in another room for 6 months. For my ElCamino.....still worth it. Yeah, the ElCamino was kind of expensive. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
FYI 1952,1953,1954 Lincoln 'Texan' Texas Dealership offered in Texas, it was called Lincoln 'Texan' The Option Included Aluminum Edmunds Heads, Aluminum Edmunds Intake Manifold, Chrome Air Cleaner, 'Texan' Side Fender Emblem Badges. This was a Rare Limited Texas Dealership Option. During these 1952-1954 Lincoln's were Entered & Won the Mexican Road Races all three Years. So, Some Dealership's in Ford Came up with this Advertising Campaign. In, about 2008, or 2009, a Friend in Arlington Texas, owned a Antique Auto Parts Store, on his Cars & Parts Bulletin Boards. There was an ad From the Cleburne Lincoln, Mercury Dealership that was Closing. The Car was A Light Blue, But needed Painting, original Interior, but needed Cleaning, it Had all the Original Texas Dealership 'Texan' Options. The Price was $2500. Now, Please Don't Confuse this with the Later Mid- 1950's Dodge 'Texan'. As, that had Nothing to due with the Special Texas Dealership Option. I contacted a Friend of the Dallas Early V/8 Ford Club.(James Harrell) I told him about the 'Texan' Lincoln, He being a Lincoln Man, knew all about it. He Purchased the Lincoln, repainted it, Cleaned the Interior, & Fixed any Small Mechanical Problems. He sold the Special Lincoln 'Texan' to a Gentlemen in California. So, I wished I could of Bought the ' Texan' but, I was Chasing a 1932 Ford Roadster Pickup Project (only 593 made). Which I was able to Acquire. Always better to ask for forgiveness than permission. The shit hit the fan when I road home a new Harley in 1989. But she got over it. I bought the 56 before she got her new kitchen too.
I can't remember (too many paint fumes, no mask) but one of those parts places had a 'Sun Valley' glass top top, A pillars to C pillars, from a '54 Ford/Merc. It was like Desert Valley or under1981.com parts sales on fee-bay or an internet listing. It was a recent sighting.
Very cool. My other 52' Capri is from Texas but sadly it didn't have that package.... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Lol. The wife is cool with my addiction. (She probably thinks she'll get to drive the good 52' now. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

"I might have to sleep on the couch but it's worth it!" A man needs to keep this statement in mind when he is out with the wife shopping for a new couch. I don't give a crap how it sits, I want to know how it sleeps.
I would love to do a road race car, my friend bought a 53 Merc that I was hoping would go that direction but he sold it. the guy that bought it will never complete it, sad but true.
