One more thing. You might want to consider a smaller diameter (optional) as 16" might be a little large for some applications. Just a thought.

Oh man, haha. Sorry but I just wasn't able to push my way through the crowd of customers and women throwing their panties into your booth.

I know what you do for a living.
I think you are in the wrong business.
    I'm interested in one, too.

  8. I'll take one of the limited run. You choose the rim, your eye is good my young friend.

I guess I'll have to build an Indy roadster for the wheel to go in. Hmmmmn. I was there that last year that a roadster ran.

Oh yea this isn't about me is it?

    The wheel looks good.

That turned out great! I'm a ways off from getting a nice wheel for the '29, but maybe later on your second batch....... ;)

Beautiful...looks 1935 killer racecar to me.
Here's a recipe for a sprint car wheel I found in some ancient magazine:
Take one worn-out buzz saw blade; draw your spokes and rim on it. Cut out pieces between spokes with whatever combination of hole saws, hack saws, bandsaws, and cold chisels you have, spend the next three weeks perfecting it with a rat bastard file. Time means nothing, this is the depression. Build up rim with whatever...wood for elegance, garden hose and friction tape for dirtbag fairgrounds racer. Done.
The saw was chosen as material for both strength and for primitive safety reasons... a spring steel wheel (often with a padded disc over hub) had some supportive give when the driver went into the wheel while cartwheeling through the fence and into the hot dog stand.

  14. very cool,nice work!

  15. As for finish-I vote to leave it bare, and let the oil (grease?) of your hands stain it. Natural patina.
I'll take mine in white oak, please!

Holy shit, I had the same idea for my coupe! I was trying to make it out of an old saw blade like they used to do but was then informed by Suhr speed (Zach) that they used to use a certain type of blade so that it did not shatter. That's really cool Kevin. I am going to try to mimic a 17" bell steering wheel with a deep stained wood ring and brass rivets.

Love it, Could be in for one of the limited run depending on price, although it may be too nice for the project I have in mind for it.

I'd like one in Swiss, with the holes in the spokes matching the holes in the cheese rim.
