I just bought a SUPER clean 33 Ford pickup!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, May 16, 2010.

  1. So I was over at the Monroe, WA swap meet yesterday minding my own business when I saw this lil pickup. I just had to have it. It was a very fair price and although I need thing like I need a hole in my head I acted without thinking and bought it. She's such a sweetheart of an old truck and I figured I could give her a good home. The guy I got it from was super cool and even let me borrow his trailer to get it home.

It wouldn't start at the meet and the guy said it was acting up. Got it home and messed with it, needs a tune up really bad and I swapped the carb out and got it running...although it runs rough. But I'm sure with some tinkering she'll be taking me to yard sales and hot dog stands this summer :D

It's got the B engine and 3 speed trans. needs some help in the wiring department and I don't think it's charging but again easy tasks. Has had one repaint in it's life and other then 16" wheels is all stock. ZERO rust in it...I mean this ol thing is solid! I really do think this will end up with a 59AB in it, I already own a 4 cylinder car and really need a V8 again! probably lower it a little while I'm at it too ;)

So here it is! The good news is Jamie loved it and didn't kill me (although I did promise to sell a bunch of stuff HAHAHA!)

Nice score... just curious, where do you stash all the trucks? I mean, haven't you bought about a hundred of them this year so far?:p

Stunning. And to me you're exactly right with an eight and a dropped axle, that ALL it needs. Well that, and it needs to be in my driveway.

So are you going to: "Z" the frame front and rear 12"s, Chop it 8", channel it 7", 305 with a turbo 350, paint "Rat Bastard Rat Rod Ranch" on the side of the door?
Gosh!, Still can't figure out how you do it! That would be a great rig to take up sailing with Jamie.

  21. 4, about 3 too many!

  22. That really is a great score and I am extremely jealous. In the dictionary they should have a picture of that truck under the word patina.
