I just bought a 53 Buick

I'm new here but have lurked for awhile. I just bought my first really old car.
It's a '53 Buick Super or special I'm not sure how to tell yet. I'm going to need a lot of help and it looks like this is the place for it.

They both have 3 ventiports but the super is wider than the special-do a search and it will be obvious real fast.

I love my 53 Special. She needs some tlc, but there is nothing like driving a classic Buick!

welcome Buicks are Super and special in many ways.
Special is a straight eight 6 volt elect system, rear fenders part of the body
Suoer is a V 8, 12 volt system and rear fenders bolt on to the body, super has a wider body also. Both have three port holes. Roadmaster has 4 port holes.
