They weren't affordable to the "hobbyist" like they are now, then.

In all seriousness, I'd like to see one of you guys do a quick home-made video on doing a basic patch panel, the correct way. Not for ball busting and nitpicking, but to enlighten and teach newbies like me (just got a MIG flux/gas welder tonight). Or maybe somebody has, and can post a link?

Wearing a wig and fake mustache, optional.

You Tube is great, but if you want to be inspired, then search the HAMB and you will find a library of resources from alot of talented people.

Read this one from start to finish because in my opinion, it is the best thread on here at the moment, although he needs a kick in the ass lately.....only kidding Flop, you the man!!!!

Well he just shit in my hat, to think, all these years iv'e busted my ass using that stupid sheetmetal to do repairs. Stupid me, I could have just ripped off a screen door and grabbed some bondo and rivets. Don't you worry though, Lester da Molester has just "lerned us awl" with his educational videos.

EDIT; Actually it was quite entertaining to me. EDIT.

Yep, shame on me, for not understanding that (apparently) some people have a hard time taking a joke. Thanks, LOWCAB & oldgoalie, for bringing that up by asking the simple straight-forward question, and not getting all hoity-toity.

Absent the legal implicatins, it would have been more fun to continue posing as Al. What a few people on HAMB think about it's use (Bondo) don't faze me one iota. Yep, it's a bandaid. Nope, I didn't quit using bandaids, depends on the characteristics of the injury. Maybe 3M would hire me to make an updated video~!!:D

"Methinks he doth protest too much." applies here. If you really aren't Al then why are you riding this thread down in flames?
