Slowandlow63 isn't 29 Nash saying that he is not the guy in that earlier post?
If he is not the guy (in the video)what are you doing still picking on him?

I'm confused.... So is 29Nash actually "Al" from the video? If so, great, who cares.... but THIS deserves an ass-whoopin'

If that's REALLY how you look at life, may the gods of karma have fun with you. That's really lame.

So then what was this comment?

"Al, wherever you are, I sincerely apologize for the mixup. Took some heat for you, but can't honestly claim your identity. It was all in good fun, and your technique and videos remain yours, not mine. You hear what they're callin' me now? Skumbag, etc, etc.! From now on you're on your own. 29nash "

29Nash are you the guy in the video?

    Is what you said:

"Oops, got sidelined, changed the subject. Back to the Plastic (B) stuff vs Weld and grind; I can make more money selling junk (takes a lot less time) than can by sellin' quality any day. Then of course, there will always be debate between the quality of Plastic (B) stuffand weldin'. I weld and grind on my own personal stuff, plastic epoxy for the public's consumption."

    truly how you feel?

He goes back and edits all his posts making it seem like he was writing as "Al." Sends me a PM asking me to delete my post because he really isn't Al, and was only kidding around. Tries to twist the story in his favor making it seem like it was all a joke after he was outted.

    BULL.

That was Al talking, when I was going along with the farce that the other guys started, that I was Al, the guy in the video. I can't believe that you are still going there, since that's all been explained. No, I ain't Al, the guy in the video. That rumor/scam was started way back a couple, three pages ago by other guys, having fun. I just went along with it. To us it was obviously a joke.
Al ain't never been here. The guy in the video ain't never been here. Got it?

Yes, because I ain't Al, I went back and edited the posts to make that clear. I even entered the word "Edit", to make that clear. Sorry you were so gullible.

I wasn't outted. I was never in. You want this to be a confrontration. It was a joke. Again, Al was never here. Got it?

Wow, that is truly a sad way to go through life if you really believe this.

Last time I checked, there are still a few folks around that take pride in what they do.

    Ponderous. Just ponderous.

OK, sometimes the little symbols and cyber speak go over my head. I'm relieved to hear you were being sarcastic.

This was pretty fun until someone had to get out their high-horse and start shitting on other people...just sayin'. It's one thing to call someone out on their b.s., it's quite another to start slinging words like "scumbag" and such. Personally, I think that when you hit "post reply" your computer should read back to you, out loud, what you just wrote. I'd be willing to bet that there'd be a lot less BillyBadAss shit, and it'd be a lot more entertaining and educational here, but what do I know?

Is this an "I am Spartacus!" moment?!? :D

I give up, I thought 29 nash was the guy and I guess he's not, or something. Where is CSI when you need 'em?

That's too bad though , it woulda been way cool if it was him.

  19. Well someone other than 29nash said it was him as well and they mentioned way before he started his supposed joke that they knew who it was. So I tend to agree he is trying to wrestle that cat he mentioned back into the bag.

You can tell the age of the critics of this thread. Yep, they are slammin' it pretty hard. They don't realize when this video was made there was no such thing as a mig or tig welder. At one time pop rivets were so much faster than gas welding, that was the only other option at the time. You youngun' should be grateful for the hard lessons learned from what was at the time "state of the art". 30-40 years from now, if anyone is still interested in cars, guys will be getting flamed for the way they do shit now.

you mean to tell me i wasted all this money on a welder, and plasma cutter and quality tools. when all i really need is some dental floss, screen, and a rivet gun? damn tool guy..upselling me.

  29. I'm not an expert at the history of welding, but I'm pretty sure the MIG and TIG were around in the early 1990's, when the videos were made..

As some references mention, the idea for MIG welding can be traced to some early research. For example, a patent by Alexander, filed in December 1924 (Patent Number 1,746,207) appears to present a MIG welding system much as used today

    and tig,,,,
Russell Meredith working at Northrop Aircraft Company in 1939-1941 invented the TIG process. This new process was called "Heliarc" as it used an electric arc to melt the base material and helium to shield the molten puddle. Mr. Jack Northrop's dream was to build a magnesium airframe for a lighter, faster warplanes and his welding group invented the process and developed the first TIG torches
