Folks Of Interest I can't stand these things,and the a-holes that drive them

I hate going to local car shows and cruise-ins and seeing these things win trophy's, its like a turd in a candybar wrapper. Some asshole goes out and buys a pt cruiser and sticks fake buick holes a bunch of plastic chrome and some flame stickers, and then runs around like he's Chip Foose. I had a conversation with one of these guys at a car show once and somewhere in this conversation he said "we hot rodders"........????

Anyways, I spend night after night in a cold ass garage, working my ass off to create something, and this mofo has the nerve to say "we hot rodders"

Have you ever experienced this???

 

I agree, but this thread is doomed.

I was at work a month ago and a guy had rims, fake side pipes and a Hilborn style air filter bolted to the hood of his PT. I had to laugh. They are the people who really watch the TV shows and think you can build a car in 2 weeks.

 

Who cares about trophies?

your right we don't care, but some of the guys at those shows do,... really old men with good cars, and they don't get trophys

Just for grins just start out the conversation like, "where did you pick up that piece of $hit or are you responsible"? Might make them think...

 

Boy I'm gonna catch some crap about this ,but, I don't agree that their cars are rods,I don't think they did a good job of spending their money,I don't think most of them even know how to change oil.
Butt, when the Federalies start coming for our cars ,and they will, maybe just maybe these guys will stand with us and fight them off. When you are battleing the zoning commission and they want to shut down or curfew the local strip, they will be on your side.If they try and get rid of any kind of personalized ride they will be included on our side, and a lot of them are Lawyers and Mortgage brokers.
So I just tolerate them ,flirt with their women, act like were bud's because when I need them I want them on my side.And after all ,what do they really hurt, there can only be so many 32 Ford roadsters anyway. Just my opinion ,I could be wrong.

There's a newer Mustang cruising around where I live and the guy has those fake vents on his fender AND door! I just can't imagine walking into Auto Zone and feeling the need to buy something for the car and picking those.

been doing this for 20 years and i am NOT a hot rodder,,I like cars I like bikes things with motors,,,built alot wrecked a few etc etc...

I'm a person who likes lots of things i play music ,but not a Musician

Take pictures and have them in shows,,but not a Photographer

Built alot of both,,,if you so desperately need a 'TITLE"
