I had my truck on the road for 1yr now and well it was Black on Black on Black. Even though I really liked it I kinda thought it needed something after seeing some old Bonneville cars and other vintage pics I thought why not and decided to paint the letters on my Firestones and then I decided to add the trim rings as well. While I was at it I thought it needed two carbs instead of one

    Bitchin' truck! Love the wide-5's!

Looks like you removed the female standing on your wheel, too. Good move! Sort of difficult to drive like that. :D

So what was the paint you ended up using for the lettering?? I've seen this done from time to time and always wondered what paint would stand up.

I have a cowl band I had to alter but I have to polish it up some and I have a trim piece for the grille out of a 34 but I need to chop it to fit my shell. I took 4" out of my 32 shell and that is it for now.

That was taken at Syracuse by a few guys doing a photo shoot of the truck with a few different girls. The thing is I never seen it published anywhere. Oh well I got that pic before they left. I really wanted to get one of just the truck but I was unable to because they had other cars waiting in the line up .:)

Yeah, I love the wide five look, I hear that it looks sinister alot. The nice thing is I am one of the few around our town with this style build(Flattie and wide fives). It is fun to bring it out every now and again because I get alot of the older guys checking it out and telling me the stories of when they did this or that. To me their stories and knowledge is what has brought this little truck to life again. :D

Definitely belongs in the old sinister thread from a while back. The details and minor changes you added really classes it up. What a neat truck!

Somebody else asked, I'ma askin' too..... What did you use to letter the letters on those tires?

I've used 1-shot on some mini bike tires and, big surprise, they never really dried. Now my off white lettering looks like dark gray mud lettering, pretty sweet. But anyways....

Jeem, I used Kustom Shop lettering and stripining enamel. I bought it at the Syracuse Nationals last year. I even used armor all on the tires and it seems to be staying on so far.....I will post post more if they change or beging to wear off.
