Hi! My name is Emma and I'm a ratroddin' hunny! I was just dumped by my boyfriend 6 months ago and thought hmmmm it was time to focus my tensions into a car....So I totally bought my dream car, a 63 Falcon Ranchero!

Right now it's all stock, but I want to paint it dull black with red wheels and big white tires. I'm just looking for the right guy to help me out.

I sure hope I'm smart enough to learn from all of you guys and maybe finish this ratrod and move onto my next dream car, a 65 Valiant.

You gotta stay away from the black/red/whites. You can make it a cool car without that. I hope your not just here to look for a date a get your panites sniffed. If you want to learn, stick around. There's tons to learn here. Be ready though, with an intro like that, you gonna get ripped.

I don't have my heart set on the flat black, it's just what I've seen around here. I'm so totally open to other colors, I just need to learn.

I think I am to new to go at you but......"Girls aren't really good at this car thing." Well, I would beg to differ!.....(Nice name by the way). There is not that many of us "girls" but please dont help to put us down by implying that we cant wrench without a man! Learn, get a book, take a class, ask real questions, make some FRIENDS that will teach you, get under the hood and figure it out. As a women I will support you and help you in any way I can....as long as you stop thinking you need a man to fix up your car. Also, why not post a picture of your car instead of you? I don't know where Taft is, but if Rat Rodzzzz are all you see out there, then you need to relocate immediately.

Around my parts, driving a 65 Valiant is about the best form of birth control.

Though it may be true that most girls are not as adept as men at fixing cars (we have some great exceptions on this board), the members of this board are firm believers that you need to earn your car with hard work and perseverence.
