hydramatic belhousing 1960 vs 1957

    i have a question i got a request of bying my spare bellhousing from my 1957 pontiac does it fit a 1960 engine and trans?flexplate allso.and do anyone have a cast nr for 1960 bellhousing for hydramatic

    he really needs the parts somewhere i have a 1959 this will be better for me to sell but i want some conformation on this before i ship it to him.

    I believe from 56-60, the bell pattern of the engines are the same. I also believe the flexplate should be the same. (The 56 with older hydramatic, not DC hydramatic is different in that it has a pilot bearing for the older transmission.)

    this is my belive to and for pilot in crank i think gmc used the same old hydramatic all year becurse this is pic from my 1958 gmc and not the same as pontiac 1958.cadillac 1949 have the same pilot allso.
    these hydramatic parts and working units will be spare parts for those who wont go to overdrive trans.i sold my from the 1962 pontiac on one ad this spring.
