Is this a hubcap or trim ring or something else ?
It makes a small, stock cap look like a full wheel cover. I don't recognize it offhand. I now similar ones were an option for my '37 Chevy coupe
I thought thats what it was for but I've didn't know what it came off of.
'40 Ford ??????
it could be part of a Lyons wheel cover, do you have 3 more?
I found this with a bunch of other hubcaps in a building at a junkyard. I am going back to look but I think this is the only one. I will be taking some parts to the North Ga Swap Meet next week in Gainesville Ga. maybe someone will see and know what it came off of.
I don't think it "came off of anything" it looks just like the outer ring that would have been a custom 30s or 40s wheel cover if there's 4 or even 2 that would be excellent they look just like the outer part of a set of very early hollywood flippers that have the same rib. they could also be used in conjunction with a stock wheel cover, what's the inside diameter?
9 1/4 inside 14 outside
I have a few looks like an inner trim ring off a 40-41 ford rim they snap on under the hubcap. they look really cool with cap ring and outter trim ring really dressy!
