    Hey Guys,

I am looking for any parts, any brand of Chain Driven Blowers assemblies. Howards, Crager and others made them in the 60's. I would like to do a little updating and retro fit a setup for a blown HEMI application. If you have parts or know someone with parts, leave a post, all photos or comments are welcome. GG

  2. No matter how cool it looks you really don't want a chain drive, especially for the street. I've heard scary stories of what happens when they throw the chain. Not if... when.

Motorcycles have run chains front and rear for many years. I don't see why they'd be any great danger, especially encased like that pic. And before you say it, I have motorcycles that put out over 500 HP and pretty near as much torque.

dont know i once saw a chain on a z1 900 kawasaki let go and it came up through the rear fender like a buzz saw , gnawed the side of the seat , and almost got the riders leg , id rather lose a belt than a chain , just my 2 cents

I haven't researched this too much, but chain technology has improved since they were first put out. I agree a motorcycle style chain would just be waiting to come apart. How about adapting to a chain and gears used for a transfer case. The chains used in transfer cases are wide and can take a heavy load.
