i asssume the old one gets drilled out, that should be easy. do i need a special tool to put the new one in? if so where would i get the tool? this is for a 50 chevy car
Hopefully someone will have a precise answer, but from the looks of it the post is basically a flared rivet which once placed through the opening could be spread out by using a ball-pen hammer.
Found this on Ebay 301053628757 meaning that they are probably available though the regular old Chevy trinket vendors.
I need to do mine on the 50 Pontiac and thought I'd use a ball bearing and the press. I got mine at Chevs of the 40s.
